Meet the specialist: Martijn

Introducing

My name is Martijn Mulder, I am 33 and I come from Asten; a village near Eindhoven. I’ve lived there almost all my life, except during my student days. I studied Business Communication and Digital Media in Tilburg. At 10XCrew I’ve been working for about half a year now. Before that I worked for eight years in various positions at Greenhouse. Most recently as a Client Lead. I was ready for the next step and wanted to make the switch from online marketing to e-commerce. Through my network, I quickly found 10XCREW and was immediately excited about the opportunity to be part of a fast-growing company.

What is your role within 10XCREW?

I am Head of Client Development. In essence, this means that I am responsible for the success and growth of our clients results and satisfaction. I take care of a number of clients within 10XCrew and am their first point of contact.  Together with the customer I define strategies and concrete plans and forecasts. While we do that, we focus not only on marketplaces but also on the entire D2C strategy. We then convert this strategy into concrete follow-up steps in order to secure progress. On the other hand, I’m also responsible for the client team, which means I help the other client leads with defining a clear strategic roadmap for our clients and make sure they have the right tools to do their job in the best possible way.

What does a working day look like for you?

A day as Client Lead at an e-commerce agency is almost never the same. I often start the day by analyzing the latest data in order to define the most important actions for the day. Furthermore, I have a lot of client contact during the day and I am also in contact with the specialists about operational matters. I also regularly visit the customer’s office. In this way, we achieve optimal cooperation and stay in line at all levels. Monitoring quarterly goals with the specialists and preparing strategic sessions are also part of my responsibilities.

What do you like most about working at 10XCREW?

What I like most is the atmosphere in the office. The 10X crew is a group of young, ambitious and enthusiastic professionals. We operate in a market that is constantly changing, and where opportunities are endless. We are a growing company, which means that possibilities only increase. I think it’s very cool to see how we deal with this as a team. Every day is different, because at 10XCREW new chances and possibilities are daily business. The mix of work, opportunities and colleagues is what makes me feel so good about working at 10XCREW.

What is something that not many people know about you?

Ok, this might sound a little strange, but I have had a new hobby for a while now. During the corona pandemic, I developed a slight obsession with grass. It has become a kind of sport for me to keep the grass in my garden as nice, smooth and green as possible. So I guess the gras is greener in my garden 😉.
